When staying at Eagle's Nest RV Park you have a base camp to explore the premiere vacation destinations in western and middle Tennessee. Just 100 miles to bustling downtown Nashville and 150 miles to laid back Memphis you are located between two of the top musical and entertainment venues in the country. From Graceland and the blues of Beale Street in Memphis to the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Old Opry in Nashville you are literally nestled in between some of the best live music in the United States. You might just find it easier and more enjoyable to stay with us for a few nights, weeks, or months to explore the incredible natural beauty of our area and partake in fine dining and great live music right across the road from our park at our favorite restaurants Blues Landing and Mio Mio's. For quick and easy dining we recommend nearby TNT Pizza and Isha's Cafe which are both a three minute walk from your RV spot.  For more food and entertainment choices simply venture into nearby Paris, TN or during tourist season have breakfast or lunch on the water  at "Marker 66" located at the Paris Landing State Park Marina.

Just down the road from Eagle's Nest RV Park is the 840 acre Paris Landing State Park which offers abundant access to hiking, fishing tournaments, boating and all sorts of outdoor activities and attractions.

The State Park has a beautiful 18 hole par 72 golf course that borders Kentucky Lake offering a beautiful and challenging afternoon on the links.

The Park Marina provides easy access to Kentucky Lake and provides boat slip rentals as well as motorized boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals. After a lovely breakfast at the Marina's restaurant, Marker 66, you are perfectly situated to enjoy a day of fun on or around the beautiful Kentucky Lake.

 

Kentucky Lake is the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi with 160,309 acres of open water and an astonishing 2,064 miles of shoreline. 

Kentucky Lake offers a wide array of family friendly fun, activities and attractions including boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, bird watching and eagle watching boat tours.  There are over 100 species of fish in Kentucky Lake.

Land Between Lakes National Recreation Area

Visitors from all over the world come to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) to escape the fast pace of modern life and relax into nature. LBL consists of over 170,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and open prairies that support a wide diversity of native wildlife including deer, turkeys, and even elk and bison. With over 500 miles of trails for hiking, biking, off-roading and horse back riding, LBL offers unlimited possibilities for exploring and adventure. 

LBL also has over 300 miles of natural shoreline with 26 boat ramps that provide abundant access to fishing, boating and all sorts of fun on the water. The diversity of natural landscapes and abundant water attract 240 species of birds each year including American Bald Eagles and even White Pelicans!

LBL has four major educational attractions including the Elk & Bison Prairie, The Homeplace 1850's Working Farm and Living History Museum, Woodlands Nature Station, and Golden Pond Planetarium with an observatory that hosts star parties. 

Eagle's Nest RV Park is located just a short 10 minute drive to the entrance of Land Between The Lakes.

If you like fried catfish you must visit Paris,TN in April when this historic town hosts the world's biggest fish fry and serves up over five tons of fried catfish to thousands of visitors from all over the world. 

Like its namesake in France, Paris has many historic buildings, a winery producing 26 varietals and even a scale model of the Eiffel Tower!

Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Located just a ten minute drive from Eagle's nest RV Park is the impressive and highly educational Visitor Center for the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge which provides over 51,000 acres of high quality wildlife habitat including forests, farmland, wetlands, open water and grasslands. 

The Refuge provides a major wintering area and important habitat for migrating waterfowl and an amazing abundance of wildlife. The diversity of habitat types attracts a stunning 306 species of birds to the refuge. Three quarters of Tennessee's 409 documented bird species have been reported and recorded at the Refuge. Among these species is The American Bald Eagle which is commonly seen during the winter months. 

The Refuge also provides habitat for 51 mammal, 89 reptile and amphibian, and 144 fish species. 

The Visitor Center is a great place to start your vacation to get an overview of the rich, natural beauty of the area. Interactive exhibits and educational films make it fun and exciting for kids of all ages.
