BOATING & FISHING

Kentucky Lake attracts anglers from all over the world with its many tournaments and recreational fishing opportunities. The lake has countless bays, inlets, and points to explore, and is home to many species of fish including bass, crappie, catfish, and bluegill. Boat ramps and boat rentals are available nearby.

Walk to TNT Pizza and Esha’s Country Kitchen or take a short drive to Blue’s Landing, Lakeside Bar and Grill, The Restaurant at Paris Landing just to name a few of the great restaurants in Buchanan and nearby Paris, TN. Enjoy shopping the stores and boutiques at the square in downtown Paris.

Hiking and biking opportunities abound in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, Paris Landing State Park, and Big Sandy National Wildlife Refuge. And Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway begins just across the lake in Dover.

NATIONAL RECREATION AREA

Visitors from all over the world come to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) to escape the fast pace of modern life and relax into nature. LBL consists of over 170,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and open prairies that support a wide diversity of native wildlife including deer, turkeys, and even elk and bison.


With over 500 miles of trails for hiking, biking, off-roading and horse back riding, LBL offers unlimited possibilities for exploring and adventure. LBL also has over 300 miles of natural shoreline with 26 boat ramps that provide abundant access to fishing, boating and all sorts of fun on the water. The diversity of natural landscapes and abundant water attract 240 species of birds each year including American Bald Eagles and even White Pelicans!


There are four major educational attractions including the Elk & Bison Prairie, The Homeplace 1850's Working Farm and Living History Museum, Woodlands Nature Station, and Golden Pond Planetarium with an observatory that hosts star parties.

Paris Landing State Park

The Park Marina provides easy access to Kentucky Lake and provides boat slip rentals as well as motorized boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals. After a lovely breakfast at the Marina's restaurant, Marker 66, you are perfectly situated to enjoy a day of fun on or around the beautiful Kentucky Lake.

Just down the road from Eagle's Nest RV Park is the 840 acre Paris Landing State Park which offers abundant access to hiking, fishing tournaments, boating and all sorts of outdoor activities and attractions.

​The State Park has a beautiful 18 hole par 72 golf course that borders Kentucky Lake offering a beautiful and challenging afternoon on the links.

For quick and easy dining we recommend nearby TNT Pizza and Esha's Cafe which are both a three minute walk from your RV spot. For more food and entertainment choices simply venture into nearby Paris, TN or during tourist season have breakfast or lunch on the water at "Marker 66" located at the Paris Landing State Park Marina.
